so when your new eyes meet mine, they won't see no lies, just love, just love, i will be pure, no, no i know i will be pure
so i've made a few changes to this site, some small some big, in the last few days and months and i thought i'd let you know about them.

twitter
i now tweet at @testmeat. i still don't think i've figured out exactly what twitter is all about, and my posts are mainly linking to these posts - but whatever - come follow me

500px
i've also joined a photo website called 500px. it seems to be similar to flickr, but with people posting a selection of really good photos instead of anything and everything. as a result i've only been putting up photos that i'm particularly fond of, but i urge you to have a look at everyone elses - the quality is astounding

lyrical hover
a lot of my photo titles are taken from (possibly) obscure song lyrics - well of those that are you can now hover over the image to see a slightly longer version of those song lyrics. this shot for example displays words from no lies, just love by bright eyes. kinda pointless update, but an update nonetheless

blackness
i've removed the option of switching between black and white themes - so now you can only view this website in black. in almost all cases i think the photos look better against a black background, and i was never happy when i used a different browser and it would default to white. sorry if you preferred it white, but as they say once you go black...

mobile is back
in celebration of having a (semi) functioning ipod touch i've now reintroduced the mobile version of the site. i first launched this last year, but then lost it in the previous update. lack of wifi and then a broken ipod meant that it took a while to come back, but back it is. the old disclaimers remain, in that i've only tested it on my ipod touch, so while i'm confident it will work there and on iphones, i can't check or guarantee how it looks on other mobile devices - hopefully better than before

email subscription
you can now subscribe to this photoblog which means you'll get an email every time i post a new photo. i figured this may be useful for when i don't post for a few days, due to bad internet or good old fashioned laziness. instead of checking for updates i'll let you know when there's something new to see

buying prints
the biggest update, certainly in terms of time, is that you can now purchase prints. at the moment this only applies to photos posted this year - well 99% of the photos from this year. i hope to extend this to all of my photos from my current trip in south america soon. if a photo is available to purchase a link will appear directly below the image and above the exif bar. i've set the sizes to standard photo sizes, as i figured that would be easier if you then wanted to frame the pics. as a result some of the photos will be cropped a little, but you can determine how it's cropped by clicking on the zoom icon next to the picture in the buy print box. i think it's all fairly easy to use, but don't take my word for it, click and see for yourself
