diamonds from the pavement where the broken glass had been, just like these troubles that i'm leaving to the wind, like sapphires, in boxcars speeding towards the end
this is probably the final photo i'll post from the 500px photowalk that i attended in september. i'm actually a little frustrated with this picture, because i know that it could have been better. i had fallen a little behind in the walk and saw a bunch of photographers grouped around the entrance to an alley. when i went to see what they were shooting i saw the model inside walking towards the cameras. the sunlight was streaming from behind her, causing her red hair to glow and a cool shadow to appear in front. i raised my camera to take some snaps, but only managed a handful before she stopped and everyone moved on. when i looked back on them i saw that the ones with the beautiful backlighting had the buildings behind her perfectly in focus while she was a blurry shape. i would have been far happier if i hadn't seen or taken those versions and just captured with this one - so if you put all that i've just written to the back of your mind hopefully you'll be happy just looking at this too.
