i make a point of trying not to post similar shots consecutively. i'm not really sure why, i mean in a way if photos form part of a 'series' it makes sense to see them together. i suppose the fact that i don't really have a unifying theme to this photoblog, i just shoot what i see and post what i like, means that i prefer having a greater variation day to day. well, whatever my reasons and best intentions - this is a follow on shot from yesterday - technically taken a few seconds before. i much prefer the composition of this one, the fact the skaters facing towards me, the fact the board is in the air. however the execution isn't as good, while yesterday the i managed to get the focus and sharpness i wanted, today's fall short. in fact, it's only really his right shoe that's not that blurry. then again i like the little kids expression in yesterdays, and the fact that the kids were clearly defined from the background. but then, despite the blurriness, i like the sense of movement conveyed in this skaters pose. all these thoughts were the reason that i posted yesterday's photo first, and then broke my rule and this one today. it wasn't just laziness and lack of anything else to post - which makes a pleasant change.
