staring contest
i suppose if you see squirrels every day when you're walking about you start to consider them the same as i would pigeons... maybe that's part of the reason i still took a picture of one. i remember stalking one around central park, walking everytime it walked, stopping everytime it stopped. i think the couple in front of me began to feel a little uneasy until they realised i was pointing the camera at the furry creature. i got a couple of ok shots, but when i was further on trying to find strawberry fields i looked down to see one right at my feet. i turned the camera towards it expecting it to scamper off, but instead it stood it's ground and fixed a long, cold stare at me. some animals just like to do that it seems.

Sure it's not stuffed! Wildlife Photographer of the Year has just been stripped of his first prize for faking it with a stuffed wolf!!

i got accused of that at work as well - if i was going for a stuffed squirrel do you think i should also get it jumping over a gate?!
