the a train
this is is the inside of a carriage on the a line, part of the buenos aires underground network called the subte. it opened in 1913 and was the first subway in the southern hemisphere. whilst the carriages were refurbished 13 years later they've had almost a century of uninterupted service. yup, someone's been reading
wikipedia. for me though it's a good illustration of buenos aires, a cool detail in a city full of cool details. also it helped justify my
decision to bring my wide angle lens back with me to south america.
