i'm often asked why i decided to go travelling in south america and of course there are lots of reasons. but i have a distinct memory of day dreaming back in england, coming across this photo of mount roraima and thinking wow... i really want to go there. and tomorrow there is where i will go as part of a six day trek. i won't be updating the site in that time for obvious reasons, but i hope i will have some good content to contribute when i return to an internet zone. it's taken many months, countries and miles to get to this point, and it looks like i've timed it to coincide with a particularly cloudy and wet part of the calendar, but i'm still really excited to go.
