last week i posted my first attempt at gardening. since leaving home i've always lived in flats, or grotty student houses, so i've never really had a garden. i'm not really flowers, i suffer from pretty bad hayfever so i feel we have a mutual distrust of each other, plus i don't think i've ever kept plants alive inside the house past a couple of months. despite this i thought i'd give growing herbs from scratch a go.

i've really surprised myself about how excited i've been about checking up on the progress and watching the seeds grow into proper living things. all of the seeds are growing at different paces but at this point in time they're all showing signs of growth which is cool. this is the frontrunner at the moment, the basil, which looked like this after a week and is now probably three times as high again. i'm sure there's still plenty of opportunities for me to fuck it up with the re-potting.
