i was really looking forward to seeing some monkeys on holiday, i find them really fascinating. i was led to believe that they were all over the country, digging through rubbish, climbing trees, driving cars. however getting into my third and final day at the safari reserve i still hadn't seen any. then, while cruising down the river we see this guy appear out the bushes, have a little drink, and then scamper off again. i was lucky he was there just long enough to get a shot. this particular specimen is a vervet monkey, who look really cute but i have on good authority from a friend who looked after them that they are vicious bastards who scratch the shite out of you
