this tree was in center parcs where i went for the weekend in january. i tried a few different ways of taking this but each of the others were either too blurry or too bright or too clear. this was the only one where i was happy with the balance, and as a result i have hardly changed anything from the original image.

i thought of the title as i recently saw the darren aronofsky film the fountain. now i'm a big fan of pi, and requiem for a dream is probably in my top 5 all time favourite movies, so i had big hopes for this film. unfortunately i just didn't do it for me. i thought it was a pretentious, confusing mess. still, at least it was a pretty mess.
