buffaloes
this shot is my fourth capture of
the big five - i didn't get to see any leopards. buffaloes may seem like a strange addition to the group but they are actually the most dangerous of the five, and arguably the most dangerous in africa. along with hippos and crocs they kill more people in africa than any other animal. we were being told these facts as about 15 of them strolled past our land rover. in normal circumstances they are relatively placid and just graze grass, however if they are provoked or wounded then they get really aggressive. they can reach speeds of 35mph and will circle around it's prey before charging and goring them. so it's probably best not to mess with them.
