when i first got into hospital the doctor asked if i had trouble sleeping. i mentioned that i was having some fevered nightmares so he said i could have some sleeping meds if i wanted. i thought i'd try the first night without them, and hardly slept at all, so the second night i made sure i requested them. the problem was that i didn't want to go to sleep while still connected to the drip in case i rolled over awkwardly, but they made me take the pills in front of the nurse. this meant that i was fighting with my body trying to stay awake until my drip had finished and i ended up drifting somewhere in between. all of this was played out to a soundtrack of in rainbows which i was listening to on the ipod. when i checked my camera the next day i found a whole load of photos of myself i have almost no recollection taking. in addition to this there were a bunch of videos of me wooshing the camera in the air and close ups of my chin. i don't really know what to say - it was a strange, and kinda fun, experience!
