this is one of the photos that i didn't really know how i wanted it to look so i just kept abusing it in photoshop, not really knowing what i was doing, until i ended up with this. if you're curious this is what it did:

1) i rotated it
2) i sharpened it
3) i added a zoomed radial blur luminosity layer with a 17% opacity
4) i adjusted the curves
5) i added a black and white adjustment luminosity layer with a 41% opacity using the blue filter preset
6) i adjusted the channel mixer to warm the image
7) i added a gradient map (going red, yellow, red) using overlay with a 34% opacity
8) i added another black and white adjustment layer with a 44% opacity using the green filter preset
9) i added a vignette around the edges
10) i then blurred the top and bottom of the picture

all from an original image that looked like this
