sometimes you take a photo that is technically and aesthetically really good, but the content isn't the best. on other occasions you may catch a look or expression which is just perfect, even it the subsequent photo of that is a bit lacking. this is a great example of the latter. the lack of light, and the distance meant that i couldn't really get a better shot than this. however i think the expression on
mark's face is just brilliant. he's watching his friend
daniel johnston play us a song, and the title just sums it up.
in some ways i prefer the original shot, but i really wanted to bring out mark's face which is why i processed it like this. here's the
