this time last week i came back from a holiday in egypt where i went scuba diving. i'd been diving once before on a try dive in thailand about three or four years ago, but nothing since so i thought i'd do a proper course. one trip to the hyperbaric chamber, two theory tests and eight dives later and i'm a qualified diver. yay me. i took this after the first dive of the last day where, according to my logbook, i managed 49 minutes under the water and hit a max depth of 19.5 metres. after the first dive we all had some food and sunbathed for a few hours on the boat, then jumped back in the 25°C water to cool off on our second dive. not a bad way to spend a week.
