so this is some lake in the lake district which, as you may have deduced from the title, i have no idea the name of. it might be derwent water, but equally it might not so i'm not confident enough to declare that. something that would help me out with questions like this, apart from an improved memory, is a gps gadget. i've seen a bit about them online and they seem really handy. my understanding of them is that you set the time on them and the camera so that they're in sync and snap away. then when you plug both into your computer it can tell you exactly where you were on the planet when you took each photo. you can then add them to maps on google earth or flickr or whatever. it's called geotagging and it's kind of cool and geeky at the same time, which is a good fit for me. the only thing stopping me is the whole cost/lack of money issue... so if anyone has a spare one...
