a few weeks ago i got me a toy for my camera, my first new lens - a 55-200mm zoom. i guess i chose this cos i wanted to see things a little bit closer. i also quite like the shallow depth of field you get when you zoom right in. i'm still getting used to the increase in camera shake when it's set to the maximum focal length. and i also find it strange that zooming all the way out on this lens achieves the same as zooming all the way in on my 'normal' lens. i get the feeling that it will become a bit of a pain having to switch over when i want a wide shot compared to a close one. still, it's fun having more options and something new to play with.
