i haven't got a great deal to say about this photo so it seems like a good choice as i've just launched an update to the site. i'm calling it version 4, and you can still view the site through v1, v2 and v3 if you wish, however in reality it's more of a version 3.5. the whole look hasn't changed drastically, although a big design change i've made is to the colour. instead of having a set colour for the design elements (logo, menu, footer etc), it now changes depending on the photo being viewed. this happens by using a clever bit of script that analyses the photo and picks out the most common colour, this colour is then applied to the site, for that particular page. therefore if you browse through the photos you'll see that the colour will change each time. on pages where there isn't a main photo, such as archive or about, it uses the colour from the most recent photo. as well as this i've added a few new pages, including a favourites page, which displays my favourite photos as well as the 'most popular' that i've posted. also there's now a search bar in the menu. this is still in a relatively basic stage at the moment, but works well enough for basic searches. anyways there it is, have a look around and let me know if there's anything that's not working, or that you don't like.
