as with most flaming lips shows, there was a moment towards the end of one of there songs (i think do you realize??) where wayne got an inflater and a giant balloon filled with ticker tape and confetti, and started blowing it up on stage. everyone watched as this balloon grew bigger and bigger, waiting for the explosion. i took this one second after the big bang, when the colourful tape started to rain down. this photo is a lot more saturated than i'm used to, in fact looking back over my shots this year there aren't many with vivid colours, however i felt like it suited this particular picture.
