since coming back from holiday i've noticed a real improvement in the weather. there seems to be less rain (and snow), more sun and it's even starting to feel a bit warmer, so i was looking forward to taking the bike out for an extended ride on the weekend. this hope was soon quashed when i woke up on saturday to it pissing it down. thankfully it cleared up today so i ended up putting 55 miles on the clock. it's fairly astonishing that despite having (in the words of chuck berry) no particular place to go, i still managed to get lost, as a journey that began heading towards harrogate ended up here in ilkley. still it was nice to go on a long bike ride and not have my fingers transform into icicles.
